Hi, I joined this forum looking for help with a fairly simple circuit design. No responses!
I have however made a couple of replies to others.
If you ignore the irrelevant, non technical posts (Which is better, Laptop or PC?) then there is  a virtual absence of forthcoming help.
So, is there any point to this forum?
Either we need a large number of members with something worthwhile to say, and willing to say it, or the forum may as well disappear!
So, drag in more members? How? Perhaps better visibility on Google?
Letters to the various electronics magazines? (Are there any these days?) Anybody in the RSGB who can give some exposure there?
Alternatively, can you suggest a better forum for help and advice?

Electronics Forums is a very newer forum and depends on members like you to grow into a  great community.  It is an open ended site where people can talk about ALL electronics related topics.  Nobody is paid or forced to reply to threads.

It also takes time to rank higher in sites like GOOGLE.  You want to help us get more popular?  How about putting some links out there or doing some word of mouth.  It is great that you have responded to some of the threads, and I am sorry that nobody was able to help you.

Electronics Forums IS going to be here and is not going anywhere.

So you have a choice, you can help plant a seed and help us build our little community here or you can just go off and find a place that is already busy and populated.  We are however building a community here and it cannot be forced.

There is only so much that I can at once by myself to build and promote electronics forums, it cannot be done over night.  I too would love to see electronics forums be more popular and helpful and feel that it will be eventually.  It just takes more people to join and contribute.

I am looking at the big picture and have faith that eventually we will have people who want to help and contribute to Electronics Forums.  Currently we rank at the bottom of page 2 on google, it will not always be this way.

In the mean time if you need an alternative I would recommend searching for one on google.
